Manifestation is something I’ve been pretty skeptical about for a long time. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I believed in it. But after my recent conversation with Jillian Laudano, a mindset and manifestation coach, a lot of my doubts started to clear up. Now? This skeptic might just be turning into a believer.
The best part? Manifestation doesn’t require any money or extra time. All it really asks is that we:
- Get clear on what we want.
- Release limiting beliefs that tell us we aren’t worthy.
- Live in alignment with the energy of the thing we desire.
There’s really nothing to lose here. We get to dream about what we want, work on ourselves (which is a win no matter what), and do our best to elevate our vibration. That sounds like a win-win-win to me! I, for one, am ready to give it a try and see what shifts in my life. How about you? We Are Always Manifesting—Consciously or Not
Jillian shared something that stuck with me: We’re always manifesting—whether we realize it or not. The key is to become a conscious manifester. That means intentionally using our thoughts, actions, and energy to align with what we want, while trusting that it might show up differently than expected.
To manifest consciously, get clear on what you want and imagine how it would feel to have it. Then, live in those feelings as often as possible.
Example: Manifesting a Loving Partner
Let’s say you want a relationship where your partner is unconditionally loving and supportive. Start by imagining what that relationship would feel like—really picture it with as much clarity as possible. Then, do things that evoke those same feelings in your life now:
- Have coffee dates or phone calls with a close, supportive friend.
- Spend quality time with a pet who makes you feel loved.
- Volunteer where your contributions are appreciated.
- Meet up regularly with a community that nurtures and supports you.
This is what conscious manifesting looks like: aligning your energy with the emotions you want to experience.
What Might Be Blocking Your Manifestations
Here’s something that really resonated with me—Jillian reminded me that even if we follow every step perfectly, internal blocks can stop us from receiving what we desire.
Let’s go back to that example of manifesting a loving relationship. Even if you get clear on what you want and live in those aligned emotions, if deep down you don’t believe you’re worthy of love, the relationship won’t show up—or if it does, you might lose it.
These blocks often come from:
- Past trauma
- Feelings of unworthiness
- Stuck emotions
- Patterns modeled to us from childhood
The key is to identify and remove these blocks, or they’ll act like a force field—bouncing your desires away every time they try to show up in your life.
How to Remove Subconscious Blocks
There are many ways to release limiting beliefs and emotional blocks. Jillian swears by EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique). You can check out her videos on her YouTube channel to try it for yourself or connect with a practitioner.
EFT helps calm your nervous system and create a sense of safety. When you feel safe, those stuck emotions—remember, emotions are just energy—can rise to the surface, allowing you to identify and release them.
Other practices to help clear blocks include:
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Breathwork
- Reiki
- Sound baths
- Hypnosis

Why Living in Alignment with Your Desires Matters
Everything is energy. The frequency we emit through our thoughts and emotions impacts what we attract into our lives. High-vibration emotions like love, gratitude, and joy attract more of the same, while lower-frequency emotions like anger, jealousy, and anxiety create more of those experiences.
It’s like the old chemistry saying: “Like attracts like.” Think about sugar dissolving in water—they blend because they are energetically aligned. The same thing applies to manifestation. When we vibrate at the same frequency as what we want, it becomes part of our life, just like sugar becomes part of your coffee.
Manifestation Requires Trust and Surrender
Manifestation is also about trusting the process. The universe will deliver your desire in its own way and timing—often in ways we don’t expect. Sometimes what we want arrives during a difficult moment, disguised as a lesson or challenge. But, as Jillian says, “Our setbacks are often setups.”
Even during life’s tough moments, we are always being supported. It’s just about shining our light of awareness in the right places and reframing those challenges.
And when things get hard, give yourself grace and compassion. Manifesting is a practice—it’s not about perfection. Just remember how powerful you are. You have the ability to co-create your life with the universe and attract anything you desire. There are infinite possibilities waiting for you. Isn’t that exciting?
